Ability to lead, train, and coordinate with other kitchen staff

Experience in high-volume production cooking; 3 years required, 5 years preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Culinary program preferred

Certified Working Chef (CWC) and ServSafe certification preferred

Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and health standards

Strong organizational skills and judgment in prioritizing workflow

Perform a wide variety of tasks and operations to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Demonstrate advanced food preparation techniques, planning production and specialty menus

Prepare entrees, casseroles, and complex dishes with multiple preparation steps

Maintain logs for taste and temperature to support quality improvement

Cook specialty and complex items using recipe-specific techniques ensuring quality results

Exhibit creativity and expertise in presentation and flavor

Prepare food to meet standards for catering, patient, and satellite programs

Organize workflow efficiently, coordinating food distribution and portions per order requirements

Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen environment
