Position Summary
Machine-Pro Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Truck Driver / Shipping Assistant to help support our shipping and delivery operations.
This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 4–6 months, working approximately 2–3 days per week.
The primary responsibility of this position will be making local deliveries and pickups using a company van and/or box truck. When not driving, the employee will assist our shipping department with basic shipping and warehouse duties.
This is a good opportunity for someone looking for part-time work who enjoys driving, working independently, and helping a busy manufacturing operation.
Position Details
· Part-Time
· Approximately 2–3 days per week
· Temporary position — approximately 4–6 months
· First Shift — 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
· Local driving only — no overnight travel
· CDL is not required
· Weekly payroll
Driving Responsibilities
· Drive company van and/or box truck for local deliveries and pickups as needed.
· Transport machined parts, materials, supplies, and other company items safely and securely.
· Load and unload materials and shipments.
· Follow assigned delivery and pickup schedules.
· Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers, vendors, and other personnel.
· Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of company vehicles.
· Follow all applicable traffic laws and company safety procedures.
Shipping & Warehouse Assistance
When not driving, assist the shipping department with duties such as:
· Picking, packing, counting, and labeling parts.
· Preparing shipments and paperwork.
· Receiving incoming shipments.
· Loading and unloading trucks.
· Palletizing and preparing materials for shipment.
· Placing parts and materials in designated inventory locations.
· Assisting with inventory counts and basic warehouse organization.
· Working with staff, coworkers, customers, and vendors as needed.
· Operating a forklift or other equipment when necessary and properly trained.
Requirements
· Valid Ohio Driver's License
· Clean driving record
· Ability to safely operate a company van and box truck.
· CDL is not required.
· Dependable and punctual.
· Professional appearance and attitude when representing Machine-Pro Technologies to customers and vendors.
· Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
· Good attention to detail.
· Basic math skills.
· Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
· Previous delivery, driving, shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Temporary position expected to last approximately 4–6 months.
Work Environment
Machine-Pro Technologies, Inc. is a well-lighted, climate-controlled CNC machining facility. The position involves both local driving and assisting in our shipping/warehouse area.
