Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for an innovative, founder-led consumer products company with a nationally recognized ecommerce brand. This is a remote executive opportunity with periodic onsite work in Billings, Montana, and other business locations as needed.

Our client is seeking an accomplished Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide executive leadership during a pivotal period of organizational transformation. This executive will partner closely with the founder to stabilize operations, restore organizational control, strengthen financial and operational performance, and position the business for continued growth or a potential future sale. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the business while serving as a trusted strategic partner to the founder and providing executive leadership across the organization.
- Evaluate and strengthen organizational structure, leadership effectiveness, operational processes, and overall business performance to improve profitability and scalability.
- Oversee financial performance by enhancing reporting, budgeting, expense management, contract review, and operational decision-making in partnership with external accounting resources.
- Drive ecommerce and retail growth by optimizing Amazon, TikTok Shop, wholesale, fulfillment, supply chain operations, marketing investments, and customer experience.
- Assess and strengthen compliance across employment practices, payroll, corporate governance, business operations, and regulatory requirements while protecting organizational assets and reducing operational risk.
- Support the company's long-term strategic objectives by improving organizational readiness, safeguarding intellectual property, evaluating leadership, and helping prepare the business for continued growth or a future sale.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Executive leadership experience within founder-led, entrepreneurial, or small to mid-sized organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading ecommerce, consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or distribution businesses through periods of growth or operational transformation.
- Strong financial and operational acumen with experience improving profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and executive decision-making.
- Experience leading organizational restructuring, business turnarounds, operational improvements, or merger and acquisition readiness initiatives.
- Collaborative, hands-on leadership style with exceptional communication, change management, and relationship-building skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Interim compensation of approximately $85 to $100 per hour, depending on experience.
