Front of House (FOH) Team Member
Location: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Reports To: Store Lead/ Shift Lead
Compensation: Hourly + Bonus
Position Summary
Join our team and help travelers take off with a great experience. Our Front of House (FOH) Team Members are the first smile travelers see before they sprint to their gate, settle in for a layover recharge, wait for a loved one, or a fellow member of the airport ecosystem on a quick lunch break. This role floats between barista, cashier, and cocktail prep, making you the café equivalent of a top-tier frequent flyer: flexible, fast-moving, and cool under pressure. In this airport environment, you’ll interact with guests from all over the world and make someone’s day in as little as 30 seconds.

The Refuge Coffee Food and Wine (Terminal 4, B9)
FLT Club Coffee Food and Wine (Terminal 4, Pre-Security)
Garrett Popcorn Shop (Terminal 4, A gates) - no coffee/cafe experience needed
Phoenix Magazine Cafe + Market (inside the Rental Car Center) - no alcohol served

Guest Experience & Service

Greet guests with genuine enthusiasm and keep the energy high, the kind of energy that cuts through travel fatigue

Deliver fast, friendly, polished service that leaves guests smiling

Use strong product knowledge and suggestive selling to elevate the guest experience.

Manage high-volume guest flow with a calm, confident approach.
Barista Duties
-
Craft excellent espresso drinks and coffee beverages with speed and consistency.

Operate espresso machines and brewing equipment like a pro.

Ensure drinks meet recipe, flavor, and presentation expectations, we take no shortcuts on quality.
Cash Handling & POS

Process transactions quickly and accurately to keep the line moving.

Handle cash and digital payments with precision.

Maintain a welcoming and organized counter area.
Cocktail Preparation

Prepare beer, wine, and simple or signature cocktails with accuracy and professionalism.

Check IDs and follow all alcohol service requirements.

Keep the bar stocked, clean, and ready for takeoff.
Food Service Support

Assemble and deliver made-to-order food items promptly.

Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
Cleanliness & Operations

Maintain a clean, polished, guest-ready environment at all times.

Restock supplies so the team never hits turbulence mid-shift.

Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures with consistency.

Support teammates to ensure the entire café runs smoothly, no one flies solo.

Qualifications

Experience in hospitality, coffee, bartending, or customer service is a plus.

Strong multitasking abilities and comfort working with urgency.

Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to delivering a consistent guest experience.

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Must meet age requirements for alcohol service and obtain all required food/alcohol certifications.

Must be able to pass airport badging requirements (fingerprinting and background check).
