Interior Design Merchandising & Sales Associate

Eastern Accents is a family-owned luxury home furnishings manufacturer in Chicago. For more than 35 years, we have designed and handcrafted luxury bedding, decorative pillows, window treatments, and home accessories.
Position:
We are looking for a recent interior design graduate to join our showroom in a merchandising and sales role.
You will work directly with customers, help merchandise and style the showroom, and assist customers with selecting and coordinating bedding, pillows, textiles, and home furnishings.
This can be a good position for a recent graduate who is looking for an interior design job but would like to gain practical experience in the meantime. You will develop experience with customers, color, textiles, styling, merchandising, and sales.
Our outlet is also regularly visited by interior designers, which may provide opportunities to meet people working in the Chicago interior design community.
Responsibilities:
-Help customers select and coordinate home furnishings.
-Merchandise and style showroom displays.
-Make and style display beds.
-Maintain an attractive and well-organized showroom.
-Restock and prepare merchandise for sale.
-Assist with sales and customer service.
-Create occasional photos and short videos for social media.
-Help with general showroom and inventory needs.
