POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Estimator/Sales Support, you will utilize your proven experience in working with suppliers and internal content experts on all aspects of the relationship including quoting, site visits, pricing, logistics and maintaining our internal supplier database. This role is highly collaborative with internal departments as well as our external partners, thus a high level of communication and problem-solving techniques are a must!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Contact for new and existing suppliers and responsible for all estimating and quoting (material, outside services like plating, tooling, equipment, production, freight, etc.) Estimating is a large part of this role.
- Responsible for gathering required cost data points for new parts.
- Ensuring continual updates to maintain accuracy of the WCS Resource Guide which includes material, equipment, OSS, automation, tooling, freight, packaging, etc.
- Responsible for calculating, documenting and communicating all surcharges for incoming orders.
- Regular site visits with current and prospective suppliers as well as attendance at industry specific trade shows.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience with estimating, quoting, supplier performance and inside sales support.
- Detail oriented with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use problem solving tools and techniques.
- Ability to effectively reconcile price discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams and interact with other department personnel.
