Responsibilities

- Use child development principles to tailor activities that support individual learning styles and developmental needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress through assessments and standardized testing results; communicate findings effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to promote a safe and compliant setting.
- Lead classroom activities that promote physical activity, literacy skills, math concepts, and social skills while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication about their child's development, milestones, and classroom experiences to build strong partnerships.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings; strong background in childhood development instruction.
- Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and behavior management.
- Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and classroom management strategies tailored for young children.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, team members, and community partners effectively.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and best practices in childcare environments.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing where applicable while supporting individual learning goals.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred.
