About This Role:
The Senior Sustainability & Social Impact Specialist leads and supports key initiatives across environmental sustainability and community engagement, including sustainability reporting, data management, volunteer programming, and corporate communications. This role reports directly to the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact and collaborates across departments to advance Hunter Industries' sustainability and social impact strategy

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Manages annual sustainability impact report which includes data collection, written content, and project management in coordination with the marketing department creative team.
- Builds and maintains sustainability data collection and reporting to track and showcase corporate sustainability achievements, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy, waste, and water data.
- Creates and manages data visualizations to support internal sustainability reporting.
- Coordinates volunteer activities and logistics for social impact efforts at the San Marcos campus.
- Leads the Hunter Helping Others employee volunteering and donation platform, encompassing content creation, reporting, and budget monitoring.
- Oversees the Community Impact Grants Committee by reviewing and organizing grant applications, facilitating rubric scoring, managing payments to non-profit recipients, and maintaining relationships with non-profit community partners.
- Tracks and manages internal sustainability operational projects to ensure timely completion.
- Supports Hunter’s Sustainability Council by providing subject matter expertise, coordinating meetings, and managing follow-up actions.
- Develops internal sustainability communications in collaboration with the marketing team, including content for the corporate website, emails, newsletters, and campus video screens.
- Maintains the Sustainability and Social Impact SharePoint site and Viva Engage page, including content creation and updates to ensure information is current and accessible.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree with focus on sustainability, or corporate social responsibility or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum five years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility / Sustainability
What You Bring:
- Demonstrates knowledge of sustainability principles including greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), environmental footprinting, lifecycle analysis, sustainable supply chain management, and climate action planning.
- Sustainability reporting experience with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework.
- Experience compiling and analyzing data and developing narratives for an annual sustainability impact report.
- Experience with sustainability data management software required; familiarity with Salesforce Net Zero Cloud preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bilingual verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word.
- Project management experience, including familiarity with project management software such as Wrike, preferred.
- Familiarity with employee donation and volunteering platforms such as Percent Pledge, preferred.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, self-initiate activities, and manage competing priorities within established timelines.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills to collaborate and coordinate across departments.
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs and priorities.
- Ability to travel occasionally to Hunter facilities in Tijuana, Mexico and Clermont, Florida, and to sustainability educational conferences.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $35.00 to $41.00
