Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Fabricator Assembler, where you'll play a vital role in constructing high-quality components and assemblies for industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment to cut, shape, and assemble components according to specifications.
- Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret production documents and follow manufacturing procedures to maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting parts together using shop math principles and mechanical knowledge.
- Solder electrical connections when required, ensuring proper insulation and safety standards are met.
- Utilize shop math skills for calculations related to measurements, angles, and material quantities during fabrication.
- Practice manual handling techniques safely when moving heavy or awkward components using proper lifting methods.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly environments with familiarity in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret production documents effectively.
- Basic shop math skills for measurements, calculations, and conversions essential for fabrication tasks.
- Experience with soldering electrical components is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including PPE use, manual handling techniques, and safe operation of machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during assembly processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship.
- Forklift experience a bonus. Minor automobile, truck, or trailer mechanical experience a bonus.
Pay: $18.00 - $28.16 per hour
