American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a SC or compact license, ACLS, and the ability to pass on-site cardiac and medication testing.

Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekend coverage required as needed
-
On-call or additional shifts required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period

Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Block scheduling is not available for this position
-
Active SC or compact RN license required; pending license will be considered if obtained before start date

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 2 years preferred

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requested after initial submission will not be considered

Shaving may be required on-site to pass respiratory fit testing requirements

An attendance policy is in effect: missing more than two shifts during the 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review and potential cancellation
