Responsibilities
- Assist with flooring installation by preparing subfloors, measuring, and cutting materials using hand tools and power tools
- Support installers by laying, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation tasks under supervision
- Handle materials such as flooring planks, tiles, adhesives, and sealants safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Aid in water damage restoration projects by removing damaged flooring and preparing surfaces for repair or replacement
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, organize tools, and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support carpentry tasks including cabinet installation, remodeling, and floor care maintenance
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites, flooring installation, or related trades preferred but not required
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and construction estimating is advantageous
- Basic understanding of water damage restoration, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and concrete finishing
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while working efficiently in a team environment
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety practices on construction sites
- Handyman experience or construction painting skills are a plus
- Excellent physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday
