Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform tasks including grading, digging, lifting, and moving materials.
- Manage construction site activities by setting up equipment and ensuring proper operation throughout each shift.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist with site preparation by operating front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery as needed.
- Support concrete work by operating mixers and related equipment to facilitate smooth pouring and finishing processes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while coordinating with team members to execute tasks efficiently and securely.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues quickly and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and project workflows.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker vehicles, or farm machinery.
- Knowledge of operating specialized equipment like concrete mixers or tankers used in construction environments.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate machinery with precision in diverse conditions.
