General Responsibility
Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials into and out of the warehouse through the effective use of manpower, equipment, and systems. The Warehouse Supervisor directs the activities of Warehouse Leads, the Warehouse Coordinator, and Warehouse Associates across shipping, receiving, and inventory functions, promotes safe work practices, maintains schedules and record keeping, and ensures quality standards are met. This position plans work, makes assignments, leads the hiring and performance review process, develops Leads and new employees, and administers company policies consistently.
Responsibilities
1) Shipping, Receiving & Schedule Management:
Plan and ensure completion of daily and weekly shipping, receiving, and put-away requirements.
Assess workload, manpower, and equipment requirements and allocate accordingly.
Review, organize, and adjust dock and delivery schedules with Leads, the Coordinator, and Planning.
2) 5S and Safety:
Promote safety in the workplace on a daily basis; lead and direct the Safety Program across all assigned teams
Ensure that all necessary PPE requirements are being followed.
Investigate, document, and report all safety issues and incidents to the Warehouse Manager.
Maintain housekeeping standards 5S by auditing areas, training Leads and employees, and following Delta’s 5S card.
Enforce safe operation of forklifts and material handling equipment; perform periodic safety audits.
3) Training and Coach:
Oversee on-the-job training for Leads and associates in all areas of their job duties.
Set goals for Leads and employees, conduct performance reviews, and hold the team accountable.
Provide regular coaching and feedback to Leads and gather feedback from the team.
4) Inventory & Material Management:
Review scrap and damaged material issues with Leads and communicate root causes to the Warehouse Manager.
Ensure inventory accuracy in SAP; direct cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution.
Responsible for department inventory control, material flow, and FIFO compliance
5) Work Quality:
Ensure all SOPs are followed across assigned areas.
Ready to work before and after shift starts; coordinate shift-to-shift handoffs.
Lead team and Lead meetings, and attend management and production meetings as necessary.
Comply with and consistently administer company policies, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
6) Process & Continuous Improvement:
Identify limiting factors of warehouse operations and implement recommendations for continual improvement.
Maintain department procedures and work instructions and update as necessary.
Maintain compliance with QMS system and audit requirements.
7) Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements/Skills and Abilities
Required.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Strong organizational, leadership & administrative skills; strong people and communication skills.
Operate a forklift
Stand for long periods of time
Lift 35 lbs.
Experience with WMS / RF scanning systems (preferred)
Computer literate – (MS Office) (ERP Systems – SAP)
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
