Skills and Knowledge:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with production personnel to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance shutdowns and emergency repair situations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and work orders.
- Install, align, and test new equipment and machinery as required.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications when necessary.
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, agriculture, feed mill, or poultry operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and preventative maintenance practices.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and temperature-variable environments.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
- Extensive knowledge of all equipment and facility operations
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of risk management and process safety management programs
- Mechanical abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and state guidelines
- Ability to read and write in English
