Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service and professionalism throughout the rental process
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate vehicles based on their needs and preferences
- Process rental agreements efficiently using Microsoft Office tools and data entry systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after rentals, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness
- Manage inventory control by tracking vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and manual handling of fleet assets
- Educate customers on vehicle operation, including standard passenger car functions and safety features
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Support sales efforts through outside sales initiatives and retail sales techniques to promote additional services or upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of rentals, returns, and customer interactions for administrative purposes
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle movement or inventory management as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive rental industry or retail sales environments with strong customer service skills
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office suite, and data entry systems for administrative tasks
- Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and retail math principles
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely and confidently (manual handling experience preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with strong communication skills for public speaking and customer interactions
- Experience in outside sales or sales management is a plus for promoting services and increasing revenue streams
- Previous administrative experience including phone communication, maintaining records, and managing schedules is desirable
- Automotive rental industry experience is highly valued for understanding fleet operations and maintenance procedures
Preferred
- 1-3 years of car rental experience
Required
- Driver's license - clean record over the past three years
- High School Diploma
