Long-Term Substitute Intensive Paraeducator Needed
Location: Charlotte Central School

Charlotte Central School (CCS) is seeking an energetic and collaborative professional to join our special education team as a Long-Term Substitute Intensive Paraeducator. This long-term sub position is antipated to start on 08/24/26 and end on 10/09/26. The successful candidate will be a skilled, caring individual dedicated to providing intensive support in the areas of multi-layered curriculum (or curriculum overlapping), communication, behavior, and activities of daily living. In this role, you will work across our Pre-K to 8th grade school settings to support student independence and ensure the smooth functioning of academic programs.
Primary Responsibilities

Implement and support elements of student instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of licensed professionals.

Integrate communication and behavioral interventions into various classroom and school-wide settings.

Foster student independence to ensure full participation in all school activities, promoting growth in every interaction.

Assist with activities of daily living, which may include personal care and physical support.

Collaborate as a positive team member with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure instructional continuity.

Supervise students during assigned duties, which may include lunch, recess, transitions, and potentially supporting students on the bus ride to or from school.

Maintain professional integrity by carrying out school and district policies and advocating for inclusive education.
