Due to continued growth and market share, we are seeking an experienced Gate Operator Installer with strong leadership abilities a solid work ethic to join our team.

The Gate Operator Technician installs, programs, repairs, and maintains automated gate systems and access control devices. This position will also be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting low-voltage circuitry, and ensure gates meet strict safety standards. This role blends physical labor with technical field diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Configuration: Assemble, install, and align gate operators, barrier arms, and access control panels.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electronic and mechanical failures, such as replacing broken motors, logic boards, sensors, and wiring.
- Access Control Programming: Configure keypads, card readers, telephone entry systems, and remote access software.
- Safety Compliance: Inspect and test gate safety devices (e.g., photo eyes and reversing edges) to meet industry and building codes.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine servicing to extend the lifespan of moving parts, greasing components, and checking power supplies.
- Documentation & Logistics: Maintain detailed service logs, manage truck inventory, and communicate job statuses clearly with clients and management.
Essential Requirements
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, electrical systems (up to 110V/220V), and proficiency with multimeters.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand/power tools and perform physical tasks like digging trenches, mixing concrete, and lifting heavy equipment.
- Computer & Networking: Familiarity with basic IT networking for remote access, security software, and automated entry programming.
- Certifications: Are a plus but not required.
