Leatherstocking Region Federal Credit Union is growing! We currently have an opening for a full-time Loan Officer I at our office in Cooperstown, NY. The incumbent will process loans and help members applying for loans fill out necessary paperwork, along with performing some lending administrative duties.
REPORTS TO: Director of Lending
SUPERVISES: N/A
BASIC FUNCTION: Loan Processing/Loan Servicing
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1). Finalizes loans
2). Assists members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of all
information.
3). Verifies the accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms on approved applications
4). Approves or denies certain loan applications within lending limits.
5). Completes certain documents and disperses loans upon approval.
6). Cross sells other credit union products.
7). Assist with loan servicing.
8). Perform administrative lending tasks
9). Other duties as assigned.
COORDINATES:
1). Reviews recently delinquent loans to assist members with payment options.
ASSISTS WITH:
1). HELOC applications
2). Contacting members who apply for loans but have not completed the process
MINIMUM EXPERIANCE AND EDUCATION:
One year of experience in a credit union, bank, or in a lending department, or an associate degree in a business-related field.
Previous lending experience in a financial institution is preferred.
Attention to detail and strict confidentiality are a must, This is a full time. Monday-Friday position.
Pay range: $23-$31 per hour Depending on Experience. Excellent benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) retirement plan with employer match after one year. Twelve days paid vacation and eleven paid holidays are also included.
