For over 40 years the Women's Center of East Texas has served survivors of domestic abuse, their witnessing children, and victims of sexual assault. We are looking for compassionate, service-oriented advocates at our Shelter who have a desire to assist these clients. Would you like to join us?
What you would be doing in this role:

Provide clients with quality client-centered, trauma informed care.

Work with other agency staff to coordinate services to assist clients in meeting personal goals.

Maintain shelter upkeep including room preparation and sanitation.

Answer hotline calls, which sometimes includes providing emergency transportation for the callers to access shelter services.

Document the services provided.
The qualifications you need for this role:

High School Diploma required.

Bachelors Degree in related field or combination of social services experience and education.

Basic knowledge of Family Violence preferred

Knowledge and experience of working in residential/shelter environment preferred

Ability to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends

High moral and ethical standards.

Ability to complete required training assignments and understand the dynamics of Family Violence and other related issues
