Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling, customer service, and salon operations. This role involves providing exceptional hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. The Hair Stylist will utilize their skills in various techniques, including hair extensions, color theory, and barbering to meet the diverse needs of our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
- Apply hair extensions and perform hair threading as requested by clients.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon policies.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided.
- Mentor junior stylists and assist with training on techniques and salon practices.
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting clients and handling inquiries.
- Upsell additional services such as makeup application, eyelash extensions, or nail care to enhance client experience.
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse techniques.
- Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY is preferred.
- Knowledge of color theory and retail math to assist in product sales.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in store management or mentoring is a plus.
