Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or related vocational training is required.
- Must have 2-5 of general building maintenance and repair experience, preferably hotel.
- Ability to lead team and complete projects
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills. Ability to speak Spanish is desired (not required).
- Requires the ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to perform the following: carrying, lifting, pushing and/or pulling items from 100-300lbs.
- Ability to move about the facility frequently, kneeling, bending, stopping, crawling and walking.
- Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipe lines, toilets, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment etc.
- Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operation for the following day’s work.
- Maintain basic upkeep of rooms, common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances and electrical equipment such as televisions and refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order.
- Repair and/or replace HVAC systems such as individual air conditioning units as needed.
- Clean and maintain the hotel’s exterior spaces such as the parking lot, swimming pool, landscaping etc.
- Assists other maintenance employees as needed.
- Properly secures all tools, equipment and supplies after use.
- Ability to sustain direct eye contact with the public; must establish high degree of customer service (smile, eye contact, positive personal presentation etc.)
- Ability to abide by Grooming and Uniform Standards.
- To perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
- Reports any major repair issues or requests to the General Manager.
