American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care OR experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.

Work in an 11-room OR suite within the main hospital building of an acute care facility in Aurora, CO
-
Performs a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Neuro/Spine, Cardiovascular/Thoracic (CVT), Orthopedic, GYN, and Robotics surgeries

Patient ratio is 2:1

Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Call requirements include 1–2 nights per week and 1–2 weekend call shifts per month

EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)

Active CO RN license or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital OR RN experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Candidates with charge nurse experience will be given priority consideration by the director

Meditech EMR experience and precepting experience are preferred

Ideal candidates are flexible, easy-going, and demonstrate strong communication skills

Night shift coverage includes on-call trauma, neuro, and heart surgery teams
