Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Specialist Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Design and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches
- Lead classroom activities that support childhood development milestones, focusing on literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior through effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs
- Supervise and mentor teaching assistants and other staff members to promote professional growth and consistent instructional quality
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Engage with parents and caregivers through clear communication about child welfare, developmental milestones, and learning goals
- Able to lift children throughout the day.
- Willingness to change diapers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with classroom management expertise
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies
- Experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, in daycare or private school environments
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and community partners
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is preferred
- Ability to lead classroom activities effectively while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
