Diagnostic Assessment Intervention Technician – 2026/2027 School Year
The Huron Intermediate School District is seeking a Diagnostic Assessment Intervention Technician to support first-grade students in developing literacy skills within local school districts.
This position works directly with students and classroom teachers to provide literacy interventions, progress monitoring, and instructional support aligned with Science of Reading and LETRS practices.
Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- LETRS certified or willingness to complete LETRS training within one (1) year of hire
- Strong communication, organization, and technology skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and students
- Professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and reliability
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting literacy instruction during classroom reading time
- Working one-on-one and in small groups with students
- Conducting diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments
- Assisting with literacy interventions and student goal setting
- Maintaining accurate student documentation
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and school staff
Position Details:
- 185-day school year with an occasional summer hour
- Travel between two school locations required
- Additional evening hours may occasionally be required for meetings or training
- Position governed by the Huron Intermediate Support Staff Association (HISSA) Bargaining Agreement

Pay: $18.46 - $27.32 per hour
