We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with the ability to assess patient needs and provide tailored massage therapy treatments. This role requires a commitment to enhancing patient well-being through effective pain management techniques and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment goals.
- Provide various types of massage therapy, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and techniques suitable for med spa environments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and feedback.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment for clients.
- Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care practices to enhance their health outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques in massage therapy and related fields such as occupational health and pain management.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
- Experience in patient service with a focus on delivering high-quality customer care.
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in a med spa or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of massage therapy.
