Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in outpatient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, along with a commitment to enhancing patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.
Duties
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct patient care in outpatient settings.
- Conduct assessments and document patient progress towards goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health practices.
- Experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on rehabilitation goals.
- Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices is advantageous.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
