Home Integration Technician

(CSS) is a low voltage installation company, fully licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia for residential and commercial Home Automation, Home Entertainment Solutions, Security alarm installs and 24 hour monitoring services. Specializing in Intrusion/Burglar Alarms, CCTV, Door Access, Home Automation, Home Entertainment Solutions, and more!
We are seeking an experienced AV Systems Integrator to service the Maryland, DC, and Virginia area. The successful candidate should be looking for a long-term employment relationship and have experience in servicing Home Automation Installation and Programming.
Position responsibilities:
- Installing, programming, & servicing audio visual and security systems, including the physical installation of equipment like TVs, wireless access points, speakers, networking equipment, and equipment racks
- Integrating lighting, HVAC, security, networking, and distributed audio systems together in a user-friendly way
- Educating customers on usage of systems
- Programming custom automation systems using platforms like Control4 and Alarm.com
- Troubleshooting issues on a wide range of system types and platforms
- Providing feedback and advice on system design
Skills Required:
- 3 plus year’s experience in A/V, networking, and/or security installation
- 2 plus year's experience with programming Control 4 (consideration will be given to applicants who have experience programming similar home automation systems, and are willing to learn Control4)
- Basic understanding of computer networking, and the ability to learn new skills in this area
- Must be able to communicate clearly and efficiently with other members of a team
- Driver’s license and clean DMV record
- Cleanliness and professionalism when performing work in a client's home or business
Skills Preferred:
- Basic electrical skills, like adding or replacing outlets and light switches
- Experience with CCTV surveillance systems, security systems, or access control systems
- Experience with any of the following platforms: Control4, Sonos, Alarm.com, Araknis networking equipment, Ubiquity networking equipment, eero, Universal Remote Control, Alibi Surveillance, Luma
