Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will oversee a purchasing team, manage supplier relationships, drive cost improvement initiatives, and partner with internal teams to ensure materials and suppliers support business goals.
This is a great opportunity for a purchasing leader who enjoys a mix of strategic sourcing, supplier development, negotiations, and hands-on team leadership.

What You’ll Do
- Lead purchasing operations and provide strategic direction for procurement activities
- Manage, coach, and develop a purchasing team while establishing priorities and performance expectations
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies focused on cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through ongoing communication and performance management
- Lead supplier negotiations, sourcing activities, contract discussions, and cost improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, cost avoidance, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Finance teams to support production needs
- Support new product launches, supplier transitions, and manufacturing initiatives
- Monitor supplier performance and address challenges related to quality, delivery, capacity, and service
- Improve purchasing processes, controls, and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Operations, Materials Management, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience within an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of purchasing leadership or team management experience
- Experience with supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong understanding of supplier performance metrics including quality, cost, and delivery
- Experience supporting new programs, supplier development, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
- Ability to build strong supplier relationships and collaborate across multiple departments
Pay: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
