Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and morning meals according to established recipes and menu standards
- Ensure all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist breakfast offerings, incorporating fresh ingredients and creative presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area before, during, and after shifts
- Support food service operations by efficiently serving meals and assisting with meal delivery when needed
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision using proper knife skills
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure high-quality standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering techniques
- Excellent food handling skills with an emphasis on safety and hygiene practices
- Fine dining experience or restaurant experience that demonstrates attention to detail and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools, including knives, to prepare ingredients efficiently
- Ability to work early mornings with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with food service standards, food safety regulations, and basic culinary techniques
