Job Summary
WALLACE INDUSTRIAL TOOLS AND SUPPLIES is seeking an experienced outside sales representative to grow our presence in the Southern Illinois market. The role requires proactive territory management, consistent client engagement and effective communication with internal teams to meet or exceed sales targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and establish contacts with potential customers and create/implement strategic action plans including regular sales visits and communications to develop customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Utilize computer technology to initiate, maintain, manage and process quotations and orders in accordance with Company policy, procedures and requirements
- Provide excellent customer service and meets customer’s expectations through communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow-up.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support account terms and assist in account collection if required
- Produce plans of actions, summaries and other reports or lists as required by management
- Communicate regularly with inside sales personnel and management
- Pursue increasing knowledge of the territory, markets and competitors.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Based out of our local retail store in West Frankfort with daily travel throughout the Southern Illinois and surrounding markets
Job Requirements
· Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
· Self-motivated, organized, results-oriented, and able to work independently
· Excellent computer skills
· Local market knowledge in and around Evansville is a strong plus
Background verification and drug screen required.
