The Candidate plays an integral role in the loan closing process, by ensuring that all credit conditions and other closing requirements are satisfied prior to closing and funding loans in the Closing Department. The Candidate for this position will be an experienced loan closer with a strong understanding of the compliance and bank procedures related to loan closings, as well as a basic knowledge of real estate law and secured transactions pertinent to loans closed by the Bank. The Candidate for this position must be detail-oriented and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Review of executed commitment letters and credit approval documents to determine due diligence requirements and preparation of internal closing checklist for all loans assigned by the Closing Director or his designee.

Open, maintain and update electronic closing files.

Communicate with loan officers, paralegals and Bank counsel, regarding closing requirements, problems and deficiencies with closing requirements and loan status.

Perform follow ups to ensure outstanding due diligence items are collected, corrected and completed prior to clearing loans for closing.

Prepare insurance requirements letters and related computations, using standard templates.

Review and approve insurance documentation.

Prepare escrow calculations and amortization schedules using standard templates.

Review loan documentation prepared by closing attorneys and/or paralegals to ensure consistency with loan approvals and established loan closing procedures.

Prepare form loan documentation for unsecured loans, CD-secured loans, UCC loans, and other loans as assigned by the Closing Director, consistent with loan approvals and established loan closing procedures.

Assist in the preparation of weekly reports on all assigned closing files.

Complete all trainings as assigned by the Bank and/or the Closing Director.

Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Closing Director.
