Most people call a law firm on one of the hardest days of their life. A parent just died. A spouse got a diagnosis. Or they finally admitted they’ve put this off too long, and they’re scared of what happens to their family if they wait any longer.
You’re the first human they talk to.
What you say in those first three minutes decides whether that family protects everything they’ve built — their home, their savings, their kids’ future — or hangs up and stays exposed to probate, the nursing home, and a court deciding who gets what.
That’s the job. It isn’t paperwork. It’s the front door to the firm, and it’s the moment a scared family either feels safe or keeps drifting. We’re looking for the person who makes them feel safe.
Who we are
Vitale Law Firm is family-owned and veteran-owned. We help Missouri and Kansas families avoid probate, family drama, and long-term care costs — with estate plans built in plain English that actually work when they’re needed
We believe there’s a better way to do this work than the will-mill down the street, and we’ve gone deep enough to find it. Everyone on this team takes that personally. If you want a seat where the work means something and the people around you hold the same standard, keep reading.
What you’ll own
- Answering inbound calls and being the steady, confident first voice every family hears
- Qualifying every lead — knowing in minutes who we can help and who we can’t
- Booking the right families into a strategy session, and stating the fee like it’s worth every penny (it is)
- Following up with leads until they’re booked or they tell you to stop
- Logging every call so no family ever falls through the cracks
We’ll train you on the whole system. It’s proven and it works. Your job is to run it well and care while you do it.
You’ll thrive here if
- You actually want to help people — and you can hear it in someone’s voice when they’re scared, and meet them there
- You finish what you start. Not 70%. Not “mostly.” Done.
- You run the script because it works — and you bring warmth to it, not a robot voice
- You can say a price out loud, go quiet, and let the family decide. No apologizing.
- You return every call
- You take feedback as fuel
- You treat the receptionist and the CEO with the exact same respect
This isn’t your role if
- You apologize when you say the fee
- You’d rather chat than qualify
- You need reminding to do the same task twice
- You think a script is beneath you
- You go quiet or cold when a call gets hard
Must-haves
- 2+ years of phone-based work where you converted, scheduled, or booked leads
- Comfortable learning and living in CRM software
- Available in-office in Wentzville, MO
What you get
Work that matters, on a team that has your back, with a clear path to grow as the firm grows. We invest in our people — training, coaching, and real ownership of your role.
Compensation: $45,000 with incentive opportunity. Plus healthcare and PTO.
How to apply
Email your resume plus a 2-minute voice memo answering both:
- How many times do you call someone back before you quit? Tell me about a follow-up that finally landed.
- Tell me about a time feedback stung. What did you change because of it?
No voice memo, no review. This is a phone job — your voice is the product. If two minutes of audio is a barrier, this isn’t your role.
