Dana Safety Supply, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Emergency Vehicle Systems Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing and verifying sales orders for accuracy, designing emergency vehicle electrical output configurations, and creating custom wire harness solutions for vehicle upfitting projects.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, electrical systems knowledge, and the ability to work closely with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate and efficient vehicle builds.

Responsibilities

Review and verify sales orders for accuracy and completeness

Confirm correct parts, components, and configurations prior to sales order submission

Design and configure emergency vehicle output and control systems

Create and document custom wire harness layouts and wiring schematics

Assist with electrical load planning and system integration

Coordinate with sales and production departments to resolve discrepancies

Maintain accurate build documentation and revision records

Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during production

Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer specifications
Qualifications

Experience with 12V automotive electrical systems preferred

Knowledge of emergency vehicle equipment and upfitting processes preferred

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency with computers and technical documentation

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience

Wire harness design experience

Experience with Police, Fire, EMS, or Fleet vehicle equipment

Familiarity with lighting, siren, radio, systems

Whelen Engineering, Federal Signal, and SoundOff Signal programming experience is a plus

CAD or electrical design software experience is a plus
