REPORTS TO: Director of Quality
The Labeling Specialist is a strategic role responsible for supporting the labeling processes at Evogen Nutrition. This role is cross-functional. Candidate will work closely with Executive Management and marketing designing label concepts, operations for inventory and revision management and with printers for order fulfillment and contract manufacturers to fulfill label and packaging requirements. This person will be highly organized, have excellent cross department collaboration skills and project manage the process from beginning to end (label lifecycle). The perfect candidate will have experience in a project management role preferably with a marketing background in the sports nutrition space. This role is dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Evogen product labeling is fulfilled timely for existing and new product launch timelines. The role will include ensuring label revision histories are managed accurately and updated labeling is finalized and archived as needed. Candidate should have a working knowledge of US dietary supplement and food product labeling requirements to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are maintained for the brand.
Role requires timely coordination, tracking, maintenance and review of labeling and packaging projects to support market demands and product launches. The right individual should be self-motivated, organized and able to effectively handle multiple projects and timelines at once. Project reporting for assigned milestones is expected.
Lastly, the individual will be responsible for adhering to the Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect for their respective role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project manage the entire process for product labels from label design, content, revision management, coordination with label suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Drive the product labels lifecycle.
- Works with internal and external teams to fulfill the needs and requirements of labeling and packaging at Evogen finished products.
- Manage the implementation of labeling changes with Operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Can illicit contribution from stakeholders in the label lifecycle
- Highly effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Manage and meet product launch and release timelines.
- Review, interpret, summarize, and provide guidance & recommendations on technical matters related to product labeling and packaging needs.
- Work closely with leads from internal stakeholders including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Product Development, Purchasing, etc., to meet and support product launch and/or release timelines.

- Manages expectations with the team by regular communication cadence and project visibility (sets the expectation that the role does not send updates but creates a project status portal for all stakeholders and drives process around that)
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

College graduate or equivalent experience in industry

2+ years of supplement facts or nutrition facts labeling requirement experience is ideal.

Comfortable with managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Experience with project management required.

Detail oriented and great written and verbal communication skills.

Regulatory, labeling, or quality background preferred.

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and nutritional software (Genesis, etc.)
