Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items with precision and care
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform cleaning duties including spot removal, stain treatment, and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards
- Manage dry cleaning processes for delicate or specialized garments when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of supplies
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning agents, and supplies; notify management when restocking is needed
- Follow safety protocols and handling instructions for all chemicals and machinery to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes for delicate fabrics is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
