Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance billing, and hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims accurately and timely.
- Review patient records and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Follow up on unpaid and denied claims.
- Post payments and reconcile accounts.
- Work closely with providers and staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) for patient records, billing, and reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical billing with strong knowledge of healthcare claims management processes.
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR/EHR.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and health insurance policies
- Experience working with medical collections and resolving claim denials efficiently.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
