How do you fit in?
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring efficient handling, storage, and movement of raw materials and finished products. They will also maintain inventory accuracy, support production lines with timely material delivery, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Do you have what it takes?
- Receive supply requests from production departments for materials.
- Accurately pick requested items from inventory and deliver them to the appropriate production area in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
- Pick, prepare and stage finished products for shipment based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Verify shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists) to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, verify, and store incoming materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of products and materials.
- Assist in cycle counts or inventory audits as required.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections on equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of materials, including hazardous items if applicable.
- Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
- Provide feedback or suggestions to improve workflow or reduce errors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a shipping/material handling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
