What You’ll Lead
- Champion safety culture and ensure all project‑specific safety protocols and training requirements are met
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company core values and operational standards
- Provide accurate monthly projections in partnership with senior leadership
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality management
- Ensure estimates, pay applications, and supporting documentation are complete, organized, and ready for executive review
- Determine material sources and coordinate timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources
- Select and manage qualified subcontractors to support safe, high‑quality project execution
- Establish labor requirements and coordinate with field leadership to meet project goals
- Facilitate acquisition of permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals
- Collaborate with Estimators to develop budgets, value‑engineering options, and preconstruction strategies
- Conduct preconstruction meetings and initiate subcontracts and purchase orders
- Monitor job costs, prepare cost‑to‑complete reports, and support monthly invoicing
- Oversee change order documentation, justification, and approval processes
- Lead project closeout activities and ensure all contractual requirements are met
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and owner representatives to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate progress, quality, and compliance
- Mentor and support Project Managers to strengthen their capabilities and ensure project success
What You Bring
- 8–15+ years of experience managing heavy civil / sitework projects (earthwork, utilities, grading, roadway, drainage)
- Experience in self-performing construction
- Proven ability to manage full project lifecycle with strong financial accountability
- Experience with cost‑to‑complete, projections, job cost tracking, and monthly reporting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor PMs and collaborate with Superintendents and field teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency with construction technology platforms (InEight, HCSS, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar)
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
Pay: $100,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
