As a line/prep cook, you will ensure all food is prepared and cooked to order and meets quality and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and assemble ingredients according to recipes and specifications. This includes chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces and dressings.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the assigned station.
- Utilize a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking, to prepare dishes efficiently.

Manage ingredients, including proper storage and handling, to maintain freshness and minimize waste. Follow portion control guidelines.

Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes. Address and correct any issues promptly.

Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed. Report any shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager.

Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation. Communicate effectively with the team to manage orders and address any concerns.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices and hygiene standards. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Proficient in English or Spanish
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

- Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move at a rapid pace, bend, twist, and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Demonstrate manual dexterity for use of cutting tools and kitchen utensils for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other tasks.
- Frequent exposure to varying temperatures (cooler/freezer and kitchen area).
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a line/prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
