We are seeking dedicated and engaging in-person academic tutors to support K-8th grade students located in The Hamptons, NY. The ideal candidates will have experience working with children from K-8th grade, are creative problem solvers, and love to empower students to reach their academic potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic support in core subjects such as: Reading, Writing, Science, Math and/or Executive Functioning. (Please note we are hiring tutors for ISEE/SSAT prep as well)
- Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with the student’s curriculum and learning style
- Communicate progress and challenges regularly with the family and Arete
- Must be on-time and reliable
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree (but not required)
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience
- Reliable transportation; must be available for in-person sessions
