Technical Content Migration Specialist
The Technical Content Migration Specialist is a hands-on migration operations and content remediation specialist supporting the enterprise Word-to-DITA conversion program.
This role combines migration coordination with hands-on cleanup and remediation of Microsoft Word-based technical documentation before and after Word-to-DITA conversion. The specialist will work closely with Content Operations, engineering business units, and an external conversion vendor to prepare, validate, remediate, and track technical documentation throughout the migration lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable balancing operational coordination with hands-on content remediation work.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate technical documentation migration activities across business units and stakeholders

Perform hands-on cleanup and remediation of technical documentation before and after Word-to-DITA conversion

Review and remediate migrated DITA XML content for formatting, metadata, structural, and quality issues

Correct conversion artifacts, broken references, image/link issues, and XML/content structure problems

Organize and manage migration batches for the external conversion vendor

Maintain migration tracking, schedules, remediation queues, dependencies, reporting, and operational communications

Prepare migrated content for ingestion into CCMS and publishing workflows

Coordinate issue resolution between business units, Content Operations, and the external conversion vendor

Support migration process improvement and workflow optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications

2+ years supporting technical documentation, structured content, publishing workflows, or content migration initiatives

Experience working with DITA XML, structured authoring workflows, and CCMS environments

Experience supporting Word-to-DITA conversion or structured content migration projects

Experience working directly with Microsoft Word-based technical documentation and content cleanup/remediation activities

Strong organizational, operational follow-through, and attention-to-detail skills

Ability to manage multiple migration activities and priorities simultaneously

Strong written and verbal communication skills with high responsiveness across email and collaboration platforms
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Oxygen XML Editor

Experience using collaboration and project tracking tools such as Wrike or Jira

Exposure to semiconductor, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly technical environments
