Summary of Position:
Operations manager will work with General Manager in ensuring the facility runs according to company standards, to ensure an excellent guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with GM to provide input and implement long and short-range financial objectives to meet profitability goals.
- Identify and address operational challenges while working with company leadership to ensure consistent delivery of excellent products and the highest level of employee and guest satisfaction.
- Develop new and innovative ways to meet and respond to the needs and demands of the diverse customer base
- Regularly walk the property and check for areas of improvement; interact with guest in a congenial and positive manner.
- Address guest issues and consult / advise the General Manager about appropriate action
- Work with other department heads on special projects assigned by the General Manager
- Coach and develop Supervisor and Leads to ensure an understanding of job expectations and perform accordingly.
- Actively participate in company management team meetings contributing to a positive team environment.
- Support and understand the company’s ISO management systems, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
- Other duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements:
- Ability to interact positively with management, coworkers, guests, vendors/suppliers and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach
- Must be organized and detail/task oriented
- Possess strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with may types of personalities.
- Must be calm under pressure, and problem-solve quickly and effectively
- Must be able to workdays, nights and holidays when necessary
- Proficient with internal business applications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel
- Possess ability to multitask, (i.e., speak on the phone, work on a computer while handling the public)
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, and perform bending, twisting, squatting activities while being on feet for up to 8 hours per day.
Knowledge and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree from accredited college /university preferred
Experience: 5 years successful supervisory/leadership experience required
