Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License A Owner Operator and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with independence and professionalism. while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As an owner operator, you'll enjoy the flexibility of managing your own schedule while ensuring timely, safe deliveries that keep our supply chain moving efficiently. Currently seeking owner operators with drop decks and stretch trailers. Also looking to add a 40' minifloat to our fleet. Owner Operator must possess at least 3 years experience hauling oilfield equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper cargo securing according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods following Hazardous Materials Regulations, ensuring safety during loading, transit, and unloading processes.
- Manage vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns; report issues promptly for repairs.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen issues during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures for various cargo types including freight, hazardous materials, and specialized loads.
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during load & unload operations.
- Deep understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards for safe trucking practices.
- Knowledge of cargo handling processes to ensure proper load securement and delivery accuracy.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols when transporting hazardous or dangerous goods following Hazardous Materials Regulations.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
