Hazy Hill Farm is hiring a Store Manager for our Portland Adult-Use store! We are a family-owned cannabis company, serving Maine for 15 years, producing the highest quality cannabis products to our loyal customers. We have two beautiful stores, our recreational store is in Portland and our medical store is in Wells. We are passionate about what we do, and we are mostly vertically integrated which gives us a lot of control in the quality. We have lots of fun & have an amazing and supportive close-knit staff!
The ideal candidate for this full-time Portland Store Manager position is passionate about providing the best cannabis retail experience while leading their team from the front. You will work closely with Retail Sales Manager & Assistant Manager to ensure smooth daily store operations & strive to meet sales goals and growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Security: Ensuring strict adherence to OCP state and local regulations, maintaining accurate records for compliance audits, and managing security protocols.
- Operational Management: Managing day-to-day operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation.
- Inventory Control: Overseeing inventory, including assisting in ordering with RSM, receiving, auditing, and maintaining inventory management software (e.g., METRC, Flowhub).
- Staff Leadership: Overseeing our awesome budtenders to deliver high-level customer service and product knowledge with a positive attitude, always. Consistent communication with managers and other staff is key to the success of this role.
- Sales & Merchandising: Reaching sales goals, managing promotions, and creating an inviting retail environment.
- Customer Experience: Maintaining a positive and inclusive sales-driven environment where our customers are both educated and supported in their shopping experience.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience: 1–3 years of management experience in high-volume retail, cannabis, or hospitality.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local and state medical/recreational cannabis laws and/or strong drive to learn these laws as they apply to running a retail cannabis store.
- Technical Skills: We can train the right candidate; proficiency with POS systems (we use Flowhub), seed-to-sale tracking software (METRC), and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace will be required.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Age/Background: Must be at least 21 years old and pass state-mandated criminal background checks to obtain an IIC card.

- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45-50 lbs.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our store is open 7 days a week.
