The School Nurse serves as a vital member of the educational team, supporting the physical and emotional health needs of students in grades 612. This position plays a key role in promoting a safe and healthy school environment that enables all students to succeed.As our school nurse, you will:

Support the physical and emotional health needs of students in grades 6-12

Oversee and manage the school health program, including health needs assessments and health education planning

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive health services to ensure students are safe, healthy, and ready to learn

Serve as a key resource in maintaining a healthy school environment

Collaborate with staff, families, and community providers to support student wellness

Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:

Active and valid nursing license (RN), and a VT Agency of Education license endorsed as a school nurse or the ability to obtain a Vermont educator license

CPR and First Aid Certification

Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
