Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product recommendations and solutions.
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and cash management software, including handling cash drawers and performing cash handling duties.
- Conduct retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, returns, and other transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Manage data entry tasks related to sales records, customer information, and financial transactions with precision.
- Support retail lending activities by assisting with loan processing and loan collections when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and ensure merchandise is properly displayed and stocked.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or retail store environments is preferred.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions, balancing cash drawers, and performing retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with financial software or point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
- Experience with banking or financial services can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Must be comfortable handling cash transactions, processing payments, and managing cash drawers responsibly.
