Job Summary:
Mainstay Veterinary Practice Resort is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate kennel attendant to join our boarding team.
This vital role focuses on ensuring the well-being and comfort of our canine and feline guests, requiring a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a passion for animals and their care.
Responsibilities:
- Implement playgroup management techniques to ensure compatibility and safety among all guests
- Feed and administer medication to boarding guests following provided instructions
- Record all care-related details accurately within designated software
- Assist with basic bathing, grooming, and hygiene tasks for animal guests.
- Interact with MVPR guests individually using appropriate toys and tools to ensure safe levels of play, minimize stress levels, provide companionship/socialization, and physically and mentally enrich each animal guest.
- Alert the direct supervisor regarding any unusual behaviors displayed by any animal guest(s).
- Notate (within software) daily logs of guest demeanor, eating habits, drinking habits, potty habits, physical health, behavioral, and miscellaneous visit details to send to owners.
- Maintain daily logs of guest activities and submit relevant incident reports.
- Complete general cleaning duties, including waste disposal, sanitization, and equipment laundering.
- Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including kennel runs, cages, and common spaces daily.
- Monitor and organize inventory, notifying the supervisor when restocking is needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, or a strong interest in animal care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
