Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietary Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional nutritional support and meal services within a healthcare or assisted living environment. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring residents and patients receive nutritious, well-prepared meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. Duties
- Assist in preparing, portioning, and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Support food production activities in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment
- Buss tables, clean dining areas, and assist with kitchen sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards
- Help with meal delivery within the facility, ensuring timely service and accurate order fulfillment
- Support the dietary department by assisting with inventory management and food supply organization
- Provide friendly customer service to residents, patients, staff, and visitors, addressing their dietary needs courteously
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience or food preparation skills suitable for a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in dietary or food service roles within nursing homes or similar environments is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary guidelines related to health conditions or special diets (dietetics) is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
