Star Auto Sales is looking to add a full-time Automotive 12V Installation Technician to our growing upfit department in Meriden, CT.
Our Automotive 12V Installation Technician team specializes in:

This Automotive 12V Installation Technician position offers steady, year-round work in a high-volume mobile electronics environment alongside experienced installers.
Candidates with experience as an Automotive 12V Installation Technician, car audio installer, alarm installer, remote start installer, mobile electroics or other automotive electrical technician are encouraged to apply.
We are not a custom fabrication shop. Our Automotive 12V Installation Technician team focuses on clean, repeatable installs completed efficiently and professionally.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install emergency lighting, sirens, and related vehicle equipment
- Perform Automotive 12V Installation Technician duties on cars, trucks, and fleet vehicles
- Run clean and organized wiring and power distribution systems
- Assist experienced Automotive 12V Installation Technicians with larger installs
- Complete installations independently once trained
- Follow wiring diagrams and installation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
What We’re Looking For
- Recent hands-on experience as an Automotive 12V Installation Technician OR formal technical training
- Experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring, lighting, alarms, remote start, or aftermarket accessories
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams
- Attention to detail and pride in clean work
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Basic automotive/electrical tools
- Valid driver’s license
An entry-level or mid-level Automotive 12V Installation Technician is a great fit for this role.
Recent graduates from automotive, electrical, or Automotive 12V Installation Technician training programs are encouraged to apply.

- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- High-volume production environment
- Team-oriented Automotive 12V Installation Technician shop
