Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring each visitor feels valued and informed
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences, needs, and experience levels, offering detailed product demos when appropriate
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met
- Educate customers on product features, effects, consumption methods, and responsible usage guidelines using clear communication skills
- Upsell products by highlighting new arrivals or complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, managing retail math calculations, and ensuring compliance with all cash register procedures
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments with customer interaction and merchandising responsibilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex product information clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions enhances your ability to engage customers effectively
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and industry regulations is highly desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
